We couldn't think of a better way to start off our consignments for this inaugural sale than with a pair of brothers that rank up with the best bucks we have ever raised. Lot 1 and 4 are full brothers and the first kids out of a top tier doe AM Boers Colorado. (If you know anything about AM Boers, you know they're bred to work). Colorado had some great wins in the ring and has proven herself by raising these two studs. I think you'll see there are more similarities than difference between the two, but there is some variation. We fully anticipate R17 and R18 to be very functional, productive bucks that bring the qualities every meat goat breeder is looking for: quick growth, and a heavy muscle/skeletal build. I doubt we will ever offer a female out of Colorado if her kids continue with this trend. Dam is 1x1 teated.

We are starting with a doe that is kind of special to us. She is only three generations away from the original foundation doe we bought in the beginning. This is the same family that we had the most showring success with from the start. Longevity, plus form and function is what R44 is all about. All our does are bred and fed to be productive for years. She is limping in the video due to hoof trimming right ahead. Pigment is show correct and 75% plus.

Typically, we offer our coming yearling doe and buck kids through our annual production sale each April. However, after being blessed with more than our fair share of buck kids over the past three years, we made the decision to retain all of our doe kids to continue rebuilding and strengthening our mature doe herd. Hence the thought process to start a sale of this caliber that offers funtional, useful, breeding stock. While we utilize AI and embryo transfer extensively on the cattle side of our operation, we have remained committed to natural service in our Boer goat program. This approach allows us to continually identify and retain females that excel in the traits that matter most to us—maternal ability, growth, longevity, and genuine power. When it comes to buck prospects, we are extremely selective. More than 70% of our buck kids are wethered each year, making the bucks offered here—and a select few available by private treaty—the very best of this year's crop. If you're looking for a percentage buck backed by generations of proven production, this prospect deserves serious consideration. He combines the black colored influence of the Oola family with the Chakatta line, one of the most productive and longest-lasting female families in our herd. The maternal side of his pedigree traces directly back to our original foundation purchase from the Harvey family of Rockin H Boer Goats in Texas in 2010. Along the way, a touch of Guns N' Roses and 0100 genetics were incorporated when we briefly explored the wether side of the industry, adding another dimension of style and muscle to the pedigree. This buck is in ideal breeding condition and ready to be developed for service. He is currently housed with 12 other buck prospects and is being fed a ration of grass/alfalfa hay along with 1.5 pounds per day of our grain mix consisting of Purina Goat Charge pellets and corn. These bucks are intentionally presented in practical, working condition. We prefer to offer them without excessive feed or fat cover to hide flaws. What you see is what you get—sound, functional breeding stock raised with longevity and productivity in mind.

Stout, easy fleshing. These does were fed less than one pound of corn, with the rest of their diet being alfalfa. Wormed only if needed and that was very seldom. They have been raised and fed to be low maintenance, productive females. They were all born unassisted. 1X1 nonfunctional and 1X1 with the left non being a fish. We see no future nursing issues.

This one is a favorite, and if we're being completely honest, he sits near the top of the list of bucks we'd like to keep for ourselves. The Chakatta Z586 doe line is what started our long-standing friendship with Bill and Sue Hobby, and it remains one of the most influential female families in our herd today. His sire, Smokin Tradition, is a full brother by pedigree to Woodford Reserve. Anytime you find Ms. Ann in a pedigree, you can be confident the maternal side is stacked with proven production and longevity. The maternal side of this buck's pedigree traces back to our first venture into colored genetics in 2014 through the Hobby Red Bull line. The result was the red-colored coming 7 year old dam of this buck—a female that is simply functional in every sense of the word. She raises triplets and has the maternal ability to feed every one of them if given the opportunity. Wide-bodied, broody, and packed with natural muscle and bone, she represents the kind of female we strive to build our herd around. As we sort and lot these buck prospects, I'm reminded how much of our program still traces back to those first foundation females we selected between 2010 and 2014. Those doe lines have proven themselves time and time again, and their influence continues to drive the success of our herd today. Like all the bucks in this offering, he is presented in practical breeding condition rather than show condition. We believe breeding bucks should be evaluated for what they truly are—functional herd sires ready to go to work. No excess condition, no smoke and mirrors—just a sound, productive breeding prospect backed by generations of proven females.

Robin Hood has been awaiting his debut and we think no better time than this. His pedigree represents a significant chapter in our herd's history bringing both our matriarch G34 and the great Bullseye together. We sold Robin Hood's brother a couple of years ago to the Pitzer Ranch where he made many great females that are doing big things, no doubt in Robin Hood's future to do the same. This buck is honest and a safe buy for any breeder. Dam's teats are 1x1.

We intentionally left the pedigree blank on this guy. He is sired by ERHOB I-80 Smokin Tradition (10877418), a buck whose influence and maternal backing need little introduction. We went back and forth on registering him ahead of the sale, but because he is only eligible to be registered at 50%, we decided to let the purchaser determine whether papers are important to their operation. His dam is a red and white paint coming 6-year-old doe that was never DNA tested to definitively determine her sire. Could we still sort it out? Probably. But for a commercial producer looking for a practical breeding buck, we didn't feel it changed the value of what this buck brings to the table. The maternal side of his pedigree, the 0707 doe traces back to Hobby Grand One 1501, better known as "Baby Grand" to Bill and Sue Hobby. That female line has consistently produced kids that are functional, productive, structurally correct, and built to perform in real-world conditions. Phenotypically, this buck differs slightly from some of the earlier lots. He carries a little more condition and body mass and may not be quite as hard muscled, but he is an honest, practical buck with plenty of growth, dimension, and performance. He is the kind that can go to work immediately and add pounds where they matter most. Turn him out with a set of commercial does and let him do what he was bred to do—produce fast-growing, efficient offspring that can be marketed in a short turnaround and return value to your operation. At the end of the day, not every buck has to be a show buck. Some simply need to be productive, profitable, and functional, and this guy checks those boxes.

Pablo is the first Picasso's Return son to hit the ground and he certainly doesn't disappoint. This buckling has show great growth and gain as junior buck. Based on his pedigree and his current performance we have high expectations for this dude. We did decide to use him for some mating this summer so he has covered about 20 does already. Just like his dad he is an aggressive breeder and handle his group of does easily, especially for out of season breeding. We will be very interested to follow this buck's future! He does have a roughly 1 inch split in his scrotum.
