JRJSG SPACE COWBOY is one we struggled with deciding to bring to this sale. We originally kept Space Cowboy back as our next colored herd sire, and he’s proven himself with lot 22 in this sale (JRJSG PALOMA). However, we have decided to only keep a few select dapple does to breed this year, which includes his dam and twin sister, so he’s out of a job with us. With semen in the tank, we feel comfortable letting Space Cowboy push someone else’s color program forward.
In just a couple shows, he earned 15 show points and two overall reserve grand champion fullblood buck titles. He packs quite a color pedigree punch, a son of Rebar Ranch Frisky Whiskey *ENN*, an SRB Ruger’s Evolution *ENN* grandson and goes back to LK7 Devils Smokin Spots *ENN* on the doe side. He is out of one of our powerhouse does with one of the biggest frames in the industry, Jeardoe Ranch Olive. She is show correct. We decided to never put her into show condition. He is sired by our show buck, Jeardoe Ranch Lead Dog, who was known for his exceptionally long spine. Together they made this power packed Cowboy. He's not even in show condition and he came in at 241 lbs on July 5th. He is massive in the front with an extremely wide chest floor and huge forearm muscles. He has a level top. He is nicely balanced with lots of muscle in the rear. His bite is spot on. He has a cool disposition, very friendly. First time of the fitting stand getting washed, and he enjoyed his rub down. A little work with a lead and he'll be ready for the show ring. This will be his first-year breeding and he should be able to handle 25 does easy. We have plans to use his litter mate as a herd sire in our program.
