Our last lot is a bred doe which was confirmed via blood work on July 4th and due the end of October. This is a big broody doe that comes from a great maternal line and mothering instincts and is out of our herdsire, MH34 Should Have Been a Cowboy. She has always been big framed and big boned. I would not be surprised if she throws color as her dam was a red doe and she is bred to our new herdsire, PF08 Sound the Alarm which we purchased from the Pitlicks (Picture of Sound the Alarm included) He is a direct son of PF08 Xfinity and has had a successful show career. I am so excited about this cross! This doe has been phenomenal both in and out of the ring. Smoke Show has over 130 individual show points and has produced over 20 viable embryos both times she has been flushed. Smoke's embryos his very high conception rates as well. For this flush we paired Smoke with an absolute stud of a colored buck in HERM Anchorman. I truly think he is one of the top colored bucks out there right now and he proved it being the yearling champion buck at NAILE 2023. Anchorman is big, long, and powerfully made with both heavy muscle and bone. Even with his mass this buck moves like a dream and is very structurally correct. Being that this doe is a Michelangelo daughter, we couldn't resist using the artist inspiration and pulling in a Cody Johnson song title to name this doe that sure shows her colors! She's The Painter sports her pretty red paint job she acquired from her dam. Painter's maternal half-sister (BAMF Shock Top) is our current high selling doe, selling for 8k in the Bluegrass Sale last year. This junior doe should be a fun one to watch mature and could be utilized in many different breeding programs depending on your goals.
