We decided to kick off the sale with a doe that emphasizes a lot of what we have bred over the years here at Red Rock Acres. Many judges say that it all begins at the head, and Legacy certainly doesn’t disappoint. She carries the beautiful Roman nose of her pedigree atop a long, elegant neck and ties smoothly into her shoulders. Long spined and deep bodied, she shows exceptional maternal design in the center portion of her body that blends nicely into a long level hip. Legacy isn’t the beefiest goat, but she has the structural framework that we as breeders desire to build and expand upon. Tanglewood’s First lot in this years sale is our Buck lot. We are excited to bring you this yearling buck ready to work for you ! Kingdom Come “KC” was our Jr Show buck in 2024’s Mid-Atlantic Buckle Series show string. He finished 7th out of over 70 bucks. He is a 2Docs True Measure son out of our successful show doe AABG Queendom Come. He is proven having sired 3 doe kids this spring. He is show correct and we took him out to the Almost Heaven Boernanza in August where he brought home 3 yearling Division Champion banners and garnered 12 show points. He has been DNA tested and visual inspections complete. He does have a grey spot in his left eye from an injury at 4months old. This has not affected him in either the show ring or the breeding pen. With*Ennobled* Greygoose and *Ennobled* Fullproof in Sid’s pedigree along with Kelly Blindside and Bean doe wether genetics, this 2-year-old doe 50% ABGA dam is heavily leaning toward the wether genetics side. Sid has been shown in Market and placed first in her class at Rockingham in 2023 where we were fortunate to bring her back home.
Sid is confirmed bred via blood work to our newer herd sire, *Ennobled* Home Slice(100%). Bred on 07/10, due early December. Home Slice is sire to lot 31 and we have been very happy with the offspring we have to date from Home Slice. We look forward to seeing this cross.
Sid had a set of twins, February, 2025 that she did well with. This maternal line has been consistent for us and easy keepers. She has been on pasture and a little grain once a day along with our other does over a year old and will not melt when you take her home. She is in excellent breeding and kidding weight. * None of our does have been flushed.
