It is no secret that we at Red Rock Acres are planning our retirement from the boer goat industry, but we were honored to be invited once again to the VA is for Boer Goat Lovers Sale once again to part ways with some of the last few animals still on the farm. We are kicking off the sale with a doe that embodies what many of our behind-the-scenes animals have been over the years. LCR95 Dime Store Candy is a big and broody female with one job: making babies. Beautifully headed, deep bodied, sound on her feet and legs, and maternal in every way; this is the kind of doe that you take home, put to pasture, and let her work. Her pedigree serves as further evidence that she’s going excel as a production piece; on the topside you find MADI/TRV THRIFT SHOP going back to some of Maddie and Trevor’s best stock, and anyone who knows what we have been up to the past few years knows we have been working the balancing act of adding their genetics for their winning and reproductive capabilities. Ember's sire was in the top ten in his class at Nationals and her dam is a super hardy doe who is an excellent mother, kidding and raising kids very easily. It isn’t common to get Locust Haven genetics with a touch of color. Ember is stylish and extremely feminine. I love those black headed wethers and this girl could produce that for you! If we weren’t limiting our doe herd size, this is one I would have kept. Both times, she kidded easily and on her own and is a good mother. She is exposed to 2M Boer Goats Troubled Justice *Ennobled. A nice proven doe to add to your program. Teats are 1x1 with a high spur on each side. She tested CAE and Johnes negative on 7/25/24. I believe she was covered around 8/10.
